Nils Jansons popped up out of nowhere during Winterclash 2007. Only 14 years old at the time, he quickly became one of the main topics to talk about during the event. It was obvious that he had a street skating background, he had more style than most people in the building and even the way he dressed was unusual for a 14-year old. None other than Chris Haffey walked up to him and asked him for a promise: “Please don’t you ever give up blading.” Well, he didn’t. Instead he became one of our very best. Incredible videos, ONE Skater of the Year, Winterclash Champion, two Pro models on Remz, Pro wheels on BHC and so on.
During the past three years he had to take a step back in order to get his knee fixed and gain strength again. He spent his time running a blading school for more than 30 kids, organizing the Nils Jansons Invitational and making plans for the future. And guess what: The future is now.
Nils Jansons is going to join us at Winterclash 2018 and we are working on one or two projects with him to make Winterclash even more fun for everyone. We are beyond excited and we will share more news on that soon.
Welcome back Nils. You’ve been missed.
