Winterclash 2012

Seven years of Winterclash sounds like nothing, but it feels like a long time.

Aurich, Mühlhausen, Eindhoven, Berlin and back to Eindhoven. In all of these years we went through some great times, but also had some really tough years. Especially 2009 and 2010 which almost killed the event completely, we are still dealing with not only the physical but the financial losses today. The only way of surviving was going back to a Skatepark and creating a 100% pure Rollerblading event for the core scene again. And guess what, the Winterclash 2011 turned out to be very successful from most points of view.

Rollerblading had its major meeting of the year, the tradeshow was a great success, the level of blading was high as always and everybody partied hard, even while the event was still running. From our point of view it felt like we arrived. We now finally know what the Winterclash is really about and what it stands for. From the organization side everything went really smooth for the first time ever! Throughout all of the years running Winterclash we perfected the organizing process and even more importantly we figured out how to enforce too many rules. The riders and the crowd are now interacting better than ever and this created the unique Winterclash feeling.

The atmosphere and the spirit, created and carried by YOU guys is exactly the reason why we still believe in this event. As long as you are with us, we will be alive and ready to keep things rolling.

We will see you very soon in Eindhoven for the 8th Winterclash and we can already promise that we are working hard on creating the perfect event. Expect some stuff never been seen before at Rollerblading events, expect some fun side-events and expect to become a part of the biggest gathering in Rollerblading.

The Winterclash is more than a competition. The Winterclash is what you are making out of it!
